Strength Development of High-Performance Concrete Mixes, with Pozzolanic Supplementary Cementitious materials (Fly Ash)
The New Boundaries of Structural Concrete Session B – Controlled-performance concrete
Memoria tratta da "The New Boundaries of Structural Concrete: Session B – Controlled-performance concrete", ACI IC - Bergamo 2013
A modern approach to structural concrete specification, requires that concrete compressive strength be specified at ages later than 28 days, according to the actual loading condition of the structure. Supplementary cementitious materials, like fly ash, ensure strength development rate in line with this requirements, meeting at the same time the high performance and the durability criterion for sustainable concrete. In this study different concrete mixes are tested, with and without fly ash, confirming the performance development rate specification approach.
