Come si COSTRUIRA' nel FUTURO ? è una domanda che ci poniamo da decenni, pompati dai film degli anni 70 e 80, in cui dipingevano un 2015 in cui le auto si sarebbero mosse in verticale come in orizzontale, avremmo popolato la Luna (che probabilmente avrebbe preso rotte lontane) e avremmo comunicato con dei cellulari (qui  ci hanno preso).

Nel tempo si è proseguito sia nelle simulazioni che nelle ricerche, e in questi ultimi anni, grazie allo sviluppo dell'automazione e della robotica, e l'invenzione della stampa 3D, abbiamo trasformato queste fantasie in realtà concrete.

E la realizzazione del nucleo del Museum of Contemporary Art & Planning Exhibition di Shenzhen è decisamente uno dei migliori esempi di come sia possibile oggi realizzare un'opera di forma e struttura estremamente complessa mediante l'uso di ROBOT che preparo i prefabbricati, li posizionano sulla struttura, li saldano, li lucidano, fino ad arrivare al completamento dell'opera.

Il video prodotto dallo studio "Coop Himmelb(l)au" è molto chiaro e presenta in pochi minuti tutte le fasi di un'opera che sarà completata quest'anno. Non voglio guastare la sorpresa dei nostri lettori, lasciando quindi a ognuno di voi di scoprire come si sia operato per realizzare questa opera con l'ausilio di ropot:

Coop Himmelb(l)au (1968-) è una cooperativa di architetti avente la sede principale a Vienna, Austria, e che ora possiede sedi anche a Los Angeles. Appartiene alla corrente del decostruttivismo. Il nome è un gioco di parole: parte da "himmelblau" (= celeste, colore del cielo) e mettendo fra parentesi la "l" gli aggiunge il significato di "Himmelbau" (=costruzione, edificio, che sta in cielo). Nel 1982 lo studio vince il Berlin Prize for Building Art. Coop Himmelb(l)au è stata fondata da Wolf D. Prix, Helmut Swiczinsky e Michael Holzer, e trovò subito supporto da architetti quali Zaha Hadid, Frank Owen Gehry, Peter Eisenman in occasione dell'esibizione del 1988 al Museum of Modern Art intitolata Deconstructivist Architecture.

The Museum of Contemporary Art & Planning Exhibition (MOCAPE), part of the master plan for Shenzhen’s new urban center, the Futian Cultural District, establishes itself as a new attraction in Shenzhen’s fast growing urban fabric.

The project is conceived as the synergetic combination of two institutions, the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) and the Planning Exhibition (PE), whose various programmatic elements, although each articulated according to their functional and performative requirements, are merged in a monolithic body enveloped by a multifunctional façade.

The transparency of this façade and the interior lighting concept allow for a view from outside through the exterior envelope deep into the volume of the space, thereby particularly accentuating the shared entrance and circulation space between the two museum volumes. At the same time, the building skin also allows unhindered view from the inside on the cityscape while giving the visitor the impression of being in a pleasantly shaded outdoor area—an impression enhanced by very wide spans which allow for completely open, column-free and flexible exhibition halls with heights ranging from 6 to 17 meters.

Upon entering the large interstitial space between the two museum volumes, the visitors can, via ramps and escalators, reach the main level, where a kind of public plaza serves as the circulation hub for the whole complex and as orientation and starting point for museum tours. From here also many auxiliary public and private facilities are accessible, including cultural services, a multifunctional hall, several auditoria, a library, a cafe, a book store, and a museum store.
