Bekaert Maccaferri Underground Solutions kicks off

On October 1st, the newly created sales and distribution joint venture offering underground construction solutions officially started its business.
From 27th to 30th of October, the team gathered in the historical city of Ghent for the first global meeting.
In those three days, the vision and the way of working at Bekaert Maccaferri Underground Solutions was introduced via a series of presentations and workshops. Benoit de Rivaz, Global Business Development Manager, said: ‘Most importantly, this meeting provided an opportunity for the team to get to know each other, to share experiences and to learn from each other.’

Bekaert Maccaferri Underground Solutions is a global sales and distribution company that offers smart reinforcement solutions for underground construction works. The uniqueness lies in a global team with strong local presence, and technical experts that are fully dedicated to underground markets.

As stated by Peter Remory, General Manager: ‘We understand tunneling and talk the customer’s language, and we offer a broad portfolio of innovative, smart, high quality solutions.’ Some of the key products in the solutions portfolio is the Bekaert Dramix® steel fiber range (3D, 4D, 5D), synthetic fibers, a selection of chemicals, steel arches as first line reinforcement, glass fiber reinforced pipes, etc., targeting all underground construction works such as tunnelling, spray concrete applications, segmental lining and mining.
